Kraft Foods, one of the world’s leading food and beverage companies, has recently introduced Tiger Energy Biscuit with ENERMAXX, the first biscuit in the Philippines to offer 9 important vitamins – Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, D, E – and 6 minerals – Calcium, Magnesium, Iron, Phosphate, Zinc, and Sodium to support the nutritional needs of growing Filipino kids. A product of the company’s nutrition research, ENERMAXX contributes to the energy resources kids need throughout the day.

There is a significant opportunity for companies to offer more nutritious products in the Philippines which can support the dietary and nutrition needs of children in their growing years. A national survey* conducted recently revealed that the majority of Filipino children get less than the required daily energy and nutrients they need every day. Continuous lack of energy may hamper a child’s development and performance in areas such as sports, school, and social activities. Tiger with ENERMAXX, which is priced at an affordable P3.60 per pack, is expected to be a critical part of Kraft Foods Philippines’ portfolio of nutritious products, along with its fortified Tang FruitTeaz and Eden cheese.

“Based on the recommendation of the 6th National Nutrition Survey of the Food and Nutrition Research Institute of the Philippines, kids who lack the daily energy requirements should get the intervention they need by providing them with nutritionally adequate, convenient, accessible, delicious yet affordable food. Tiger Energy Biscuit with ENERMAXX is a tasty and nutritious snack that can help give kids the energy boost they need,” said Mr. Sudip Mall, President and General Manager, Kraft Foods Philippines.
To help parents and communities realize the need to fulfill a child’s daily energy requirement, Kraft Foods organized TIGER DAY, a series of fun-filled and educational events to inform the public about nutritious choices that provide kids with both the energy and the proper nutrients they need to win every day, whether it’s on the sports field or in the classroom..

Kraft Foods is committed to bringing wholesome and affordable food choices that support nutritious and healthy lifestyles. In the Philippines, Kraft Foods is the first company to be granted the Sangkap Pinoy Seal. It recently underscored its commitment to the Philippines through a milestone investment of US$1.1 million to tackle malnutrition and nutrition education in children with the nonprofit organization, Save the Children.
