Undeniably, corned beef is one of the most preferred breakfast foods in the Philippines. This is mainly because of corned beef’s affordability, and ease of cooking. No skills is needed when cooking corned beef, just heat the oil, saute some onions and garlic and voila, instant breakfast!

But aren’t we tired of this unending cycle? Sauteed corned beef forever?

So a few days ago, three chefs have gathered and reinvented the corned beef that we all know inside out. They made quick-cooking dishes that’s perfect for the daily fast-paced corporate life we have. they also did some gourmet dishes that needs an extra effort that is perfect for the weekend cooking.

Showcasing the versatility of corned beef were Chef Eugene Raymundo of Five Cows Ice Cream Bar and Restaurant, Chef Sam de Leoz Jr. of the UST-Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management and Chef Mia Carla Yan of the Heny Sison Culinary School and Magsaysay Institute of Hospitality and Culinary Arts.

Chef Eugene’s attractively colorful Flamenco Maki intrigued guests’ taste buds for its sweetish-salty flavor; while his chewy Argentina Cheese & Mushroom Penne recipe reinvented pasta to suit the Filipino taste.

During their presentation, the chefs shared their recipe preparation techniques and the ingredients that went into their dishes.

What is so good with Argentina Corned Beef is that is is now fortified with Zinc and Iron. The only local brand in the market that has the highest level of these nutrients.
